From Kentuky (USA) to Lake Como to elope

Brooke and John are lovers of travel, they love discovering different places and cultures. John proposed to Brooke in Hawaii during a walk. So for their day too they wanted something unique but elegant at the same time, they decided to celebrate their elopement in a place that was new for both of them and they would discover it together, Italy. More precisely, the very renowned and well-known Lake Como.

Two days of elopement on Lake Como: elegant and experiential

 When you want to fully appreciate and experience a place, a couple of hours are not enough and this was the case for Brooke and John’s elopement on Lake Como.
The first day was dedicated to the super elegant elopement ceremony at Villa Monastero and a private luxury dinner with an incredible view of the lake.
The second day was all an experience starting from the vintage machine, then going to Villa del Balbianello and then finishing with a fettuccine cooking class! What more could you want.

Elopement at Villa Monastero for you intimate ceremony

Villa Monastero is one of the best known villas on Lake Como. It is located in the town of Varenna which is right in the center of the lake on the eastern shore.
The very famous balcony of Villa Monastero was the setting for the ceremony, completely decorated with truly jaw-dropping white flowers.
The ceremony was accompanied by very sweet violin music which made everything even more magical.
Villa Monastero, however, is not just this little balcony but has many other small glimpses to offer and so we enjoyed it all while walking.

After the ceremony at Villa Monastero, the newlyweds moved to Varenna to enjoy the authenticity of these small villages but also a good ice cream and an aperitif which can never be missing from a self-respecting elopement on Lake Como.

Private dinner for the elopement on Lake Como

I can’t imagine anything more beautiful and elegant than a candlelit dinner in a private garden with a view of the lake. I must tell you that the environment was incredible, the perfect temperature and the truly unique atmosphere.
Brooke and John enjoyed their gourmet dinner and finished with a mini cake.

Second day of elopement on Lake Como

The first day was dedicated to romance while the second day the boys wanted to let loose! In the morning they whizzed through the streets of Tremezzo in a wonderful vintage fiat from the 60s, admiring the breathtaking landscape.
The boat couldn’t be missing afterwards! The boat and that experience that really needs to be had on Lake Como, let a local person tell you.
