Urban elopement in Seville

We know Seville like the back of our hand and have photographed many elopements in its streets.

Despite everything, the request that arrived on January 3th from Andrea and Alex was completely different.

Andrea and Alex are an American couple, a few months ago they decided to come on a trip to the Iberian peninsula and, taking advantage of this, they decided to make their elopement right here.
As you may know, we love intimate unions, so much so that we got married this way ourselves. When Andrea and Alex wrote to us, they told us that they have been together for 16 years and that they had absolutely no desire to organize a wedding in grand style. First of all, it’s not something they like and then the idea of being able to do it while traveling convinced them that an elopement in Seville was exactly what they wanted.

There are no rules for elopements and in these photos you will understand it more than ever.

Urban elopement in Seville: walk at sunrise in Plaza de España

Walking at dawn through those tourist cities that are chaotic during the day I can assure you that it is wonderful. You can enjoy unique moments in a peace that is reserved only for a few. Andrea and Alex have decided to live this experience in order to better enjoy one of the most touristic places in Seville.
The colors of Piazza di Spagna and its architecture are one of a kind and I can assure you that they never get boring.
After a lovely early morning walk there was a hearty breakfast waiting for them and they then relaxed in their beautiful room before preparing for the actual ceremony.

Elopement ceremony on the rooftops of Seville – Hotel Villapanes

The roofs have a certain charm, and if the elopement ceremony takes place on the roof terrace of one of the most renowned hotels in Seville, nothing more could be desired.
It was 2 in the afternoon and Diana, the celebrant, was waiting for the bride and groom on the roof with a spectacular view. Andrea and Alex arrived, they were wonderful and very excited.
I’m not telling you because I love symbolic ceremonies so much and get excited, it was wonderful!
The celebrations already started on the terrace with music and champagne but the rest was yet to come.

Alternative elopement in the streets of Seville – Tapear

Who said that for a wedding you have to sit at the table and have 6/7 courses served? Here’s nobody! And everyone does as he wants! So did our spouses by deciding to tapear without rules in the streets and bars of Seville. The intention was just that a fun day without constraints but with good food and wine. Undoubtedly there is no shortage of delicious food and high quality wine in Spain.
