Every 4 years, as you know, there is a leap year, in 2020 Pierluigi and Stefania decided to get married just on February 29th.

A rather special date! When Pier called to ask me if I could be the photographer for their wedding, I still remember that I was in the Maldives (here you can find photos of the Maldives elopement) for another wedding but I could only be super happy.

I have known Pier since I was a child.

We have a few years of difference but we both skated, we did figure skating. We were part of two different companies who shared the same track and I admired it because it really skated very well !!!

Now several years have passed, unfortunately I can’t find the time to skate anymore but Pier not only roller-skates but also ice-skating and what’s more he’s also federal judge !!

CIVIL CEREMONY AT THE MAISON VERTE

Stefania and Pierluigi decided to get married in the beautiful location located in the province of Turin, more precisely in Cantalupa. The civil ceremony as well as the celebrations took place at the Maison Verte.

Both the groom and the bride got ready in the rooms of the structure and the ceremony was formalized in the greenhouses of the Maison around 11:30 am.

The ceremony was real and not symbolic, celebrated by a representative of the municipality of Cantalupa.

Following the witness of the bride he also performed the ritual of tying the hands, which I must admit I did not know.

It was a special day, in the morning there was this very intimate ceremony attended by just under 30 guests. Immediately afterwards there was lunch.

You should know that the ceremony was not only one but a second one followed in the late afternoon. Around 18:30 there was a second ceremony with the sand ritual attended by the friends of the spouses.

The second ceremony was shorter but equally exciting and moreover for the entry of the spouses a friend of them played the violin.

WINTER WEDDING RECEPTION IN CANTALUPA (TURIN)

Just as there were two ceremonies there were also two receptions. The first was a lunch around an elegant imperial table. The cuisine of the maison verte is unquestionably of a unique refinement and quality so it was truly spectacular.

In the late afternoon after the second ceremony, an aperitif and a more informal and quick dinner was organized to leave room for fun.

Once the dinner was over, friends went wild starting from a wonderful flash mob organized by friends and companions of a lifetime. The group of friends of the groom, figure skating skaters who have known each other since they were little, have created this beautiful choreography.

All this took place on difficult days for our Italy, because until the last minute it was not known whether the Coronavirus epidemic could be celebrated because of the problem.

Despite this, everything went wonderfully and I’m really happy to have been the photographer of this beautiful wedding at Maison Verte.
